Freson Bros., an Alberta-owned and operated fresh food retail chain, invites entrepreneurial-minded individuals to apply for the Grocery Department Manager position. The Grocery Department Manager is an integral leadership role within the Freson Bros. (Fresh Market) - Valleyview store and Freson Bros. company.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of progressive grocery department, or retail management experience A history of meeting financial objectives and targets in a grocery environment Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Effective critical thinking and conflict resolution skills Strong Google Suite skills and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs A passion for leading and developing others Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management and food safety regulations' Ability to work different shifts including early mornings, weekends and holidays according to the needs of the business Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Role and Responsibilities:

Lead Grocery team in merchandising produce items for weekly, promotional, and seasonal displays Inventory Management through weekly ordering, record & invoice maintenance, and leading quarterly inventory counts Schedule Grocery Team Members to ensure that production and customer needs are met Ensure company standards are met and department programs are followed Assist the Store Manager with recruiting while maintaining a high-performance work team Train, develop and motivate Grocery Team Members Resolve customer and Grocery department concerns and complaints, and provide a positive customer experience Champion the Freson Bros. Brand and culture by modeling our qualities of Drive, Integrity, and Growth

Position Details:

Position Type: Full-Time Location: Valleyview, Alberta Salary: $45,000-$55,000 / year
