Full-Time Grocery Clerk

to join the Grocery Department at our

Aurora location

Duties & Responsibilities

The Grocery Clerk is responsible for ensuring that the

grocery department (dried goods, dairy, frozen, and receiving)

is well-merchandised, fully stocked, and easily accessible for customers. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong focus on customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

Receiving, storing, and stocking products with proper rotation and quality checks Creating and maintaining grocery displays, ensuring products are well-faced and presented Handling product damages, credits, and discrepancies in accordance with company policy Learning store products and their locations to assist customers efficiently Supporting receiving and backroom inventory storage processes Assisting with bagging groceries at the front cash and performing carry-outs when needed Maintaining department and store cleanliness standards Supporting team members across the store as required Adhering to company policies, procedures, and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention Performing additional duties as required to support store operations
Skillset Requirements

Previous grocery or food industry experience is an asset Food Safety Handlers Certification preferred Passion for food and delivering an exceptional customer experience Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to take direction well Positive attitude and effective team player in a fast-paced environment Physically able to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in cooler environments (dairy/frozen storage and freezers) Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays High school diploma or equivalent preferred
