Upholding the law is part of our Code of Conduct - it reinforces what our customers and stakeholders expect of us. : As a Grocery Assistant Department Manager, your contribution will have an immediate impact on sales and customer satisfaction, as you will perform duties such as order, receive, organize, rotate, merchandise and ensure PI accuracy and pricing are maintained in accordance with company standards. You will also ensure the order and cleanliness of the department, provide high quality customer service, perform work according to company standards, procedures and policies and perform any other tasks required by the position and/or your Manager. Job Qualifications:
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in Grocery Retail operations.
  • Ability to work in cold environments.
  • Ability to lift over 20kg.
  • Ability to use company technology for various processes including signage, PI maintenance, scheduling, ordering, etc.
  • Ability to use power lift truck equipment and able to receive products at the back door.
  • Ability to assist the Grocery Manager with hiring, training and coaching of new members of staff.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the position in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motived, service-orientated team player.
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to prioritize workload.
  • Strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
