Greenhouse Worker

Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
We are currently looking for full-time greenhouse workers (Monday-Saturdays) to help grow and harvest produce (tomato, cucumber) in our greenhouses, including:
- Planting, winding, pruning, clipping, lowering, de-leafing, and harvesting of greenhouse tomatoes and cucumber.
- Performing repetitive tasks in a fast paced setting and at heights.
- Cleaning and sanitation of tools, equipment and work area.
- Assist with crop pest management related duties.
- Follow all food safety, health and safety policies and procedures.
- Follow all other labor supervisor and operator directives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

+ 18 years of age.- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Enough English or Spanish fluency to understand information and instructions through spoken word.
- Physically able to lift heavy materials (i.e. average of 13 kg/30 lbs).
- Able to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
- Have own transportation to work.
- Able to work in hot and humid environment during summer months.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Prior greenhouse working experience considered an asset.
- No degree, diploma or certificate required
- No experience necessary. Will train workers
HOURS
- 8-10 hour shift
- Day shift only
- Monday to Saturday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 54 per week
Work Location: In person
