Direct and oversee all daily farm activities, including crop production, maintenance scheduling, and infrastructure management.* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide status reports to the CEO.* Manage farm meetings, crop walks, system alarms, and plant cleanout coordination.* Drive special projects and process improvements across farm systems.* Oversee equipment, building, and grounds maintenance--ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.* Maintain a robust preventative maintenance program and parts inventory.* Utilize mechanical and electrical skills to troubleshoot and support operations.*
2. Inspire and Empower a High-Performing Team
Lead, train, and coach a diverse team of supervisors, growers, and technicians.* Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings to align goals and support performance growth.* Develop training tools and continuous improvement strategies that fuel career progression.* Partner with HR to support recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and workforce planning.* Create a collaborative environment where safety, respect, and productivity thrive.*
3. Ensure Excellence in Compliance & Administration
Support budget planning and management for tools, supplies, and equipment.* Conduct routine inspections of crops, facilities, and teams to ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and health regulations.* Maintain administrative and operational excellence in alignment with internal and regulatory standards.* Take on additional initiatives and duties that align with company goals and performance growth.*
What You Bring to the Table
Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing agricultural teams or farm operations.* Excellent mechanical and electrical problem-solving capabilities.* Effective communication across all levels--from field staff to senior leadership.* Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft 365 (especially Excel); familiarity with Priva is a plus.* Ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing environments.*
