Tasks

Clean the crops Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for germination Cut horticultural crops Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots Greenhouse cleaning Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions Hand harvesting vegetables Harvest seedlings Level earth to fine grade specifications Operate climate controls Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts Tie and secure plants Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality Weeding Write daily basic progress reports Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants Mix and prepare soils Plant bulbs and seeds Pot and re-pot plants Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings Report signs of insect or disease damage Assist in grafting activities Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens Clean work area Repair and maintain equipment Perform general farm duties Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting Handling animals Apply the technique of hoeing between the row
