GREEN TEAM POSITIONS In partnership with Town of Pasadena (Location: Pasadena) Position Title: Community Development Assistant Green Team Job Ad Number: PAS23 Project Title: Blazing Trails and Beaches PROJECT DESCRIPTION This Green Team will be focusing on trail development and beautification of the Town\xe2\x80\x99s Beach area to enhance local greenspaces. The Team will officially connect existing trails in Town to create a trail system that can be enjoyed by residents and tourists alike; this will involve garbage and brush removal, evening the trail for public safety, grading and beautification of the 7.5 kms that are to be linked. Secondarily, the team will work to create a more inviting space at the Town\xe2\x80\x99s Beach through removal of garbage and debris. Both initiatives will be promoted by the Team through community engagement, education sessions and activities. The team will also be responsible for other duties as required. All Teams will conduct a minimum of four Environmental Awareness Events and successful applicants will be required to participate in several training sessions, including Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S). Employees will be required to follow all OH&S regulations and policies of CCNL and the Town of Pasadena. POSITION DETAILS TEAM LEADER (1 Position): The Team Leader is the day to day supervisor for the Green Team. This person is responsible for the conduct of Team Members and the work they undertake. The Team Leader ensures that the work required is properly assigned and carried out, and that the project proceeds smoothly. This involves planning, maintaining discipline and safety, daily acquisition of project materials, effective communication with the Community Partner and CCCNL staff, administrative duties etc. A Team Leader should demonstrate the ability to plan and organize, and must have leadership and supervisory skills. This position is for 8 weeks, at $15.50/hr for 35 hours per week, from June 26th to August 18th, 2023. TEAM MEMBER (1 Position): The Team Member is an integral part of the Green Team program. The Team Member follows the direction given by the Team Leader, has the ability to work well in a team environment and feels that they can make a positive contribution to the projects undertaken. This position is for 8 weeks, at $14.50/hr for 35 hours per week, from June 26th to August 18th, 2023. QUALIFICATIONS

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physical ability to perform manual labor and hike long distances
• Knowledge and/or interest in community development and engagement
• Willingness to participate in public engagement and community outreach initiatives
• Willingness to adhere to administration requirements
• Interest in environmental sustainability
• Ability to work in a team setting

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

• Must have CSA approved work boots and/or rain boots and/or hip waders (if required)
• Occasional weekend and evening work may be required
• Transportation to/from worksite is the responsibility of employees
• One person on the team may be required to have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and full time access to a vehicle with adequate insurance
• Reimbursement for vehicle mileage in accordance with CCNL policy
