Responsibilities:


Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailer, tri, and quad trucks to transport goods and materials. Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections on vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories (tires, lights, brakes, etc.). Secure cargo in compliance with safety regulations, including transporting dangerous goods. Communicate with dispatch, other drivers, and customers using on-board technology. Perform minor on-site repairs when necessary. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy when required. Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods as needed. Operate specialized trucks such as tow trucks, dump trucks, hydrovac trucks, and cement mixers. Oversee the loading and unloading of cargo and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Safely climb enter and exit truck multiple times a day to clean reach and inspect tires to ensure they are free of debris. Safely climb in and out of box to clean it in all weather conditions. Demonstrate a strong understanding of construction safety standards and adhere to all regulations.


Requirements:


Class 1 License with a minimum of 5 years of gravel truck experience. Willing and able to work out of town and night shifts as required by projects. Available to work some Sundays as needed. Strong knowledge of truck and work site safety regulations. Comfortable using app-based platforms for Haul Cards and Safety Paperwork. Capable of performing minor truck maintenance and repairs. Able to operate supporting equipment such as packers, water trucks, shovels, and rakes. Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. Certifications such as H2S Alive and CPR/First Aid are assets. Must reside in Calgary or surrounding areas.

Qualifications:


Must comply with KLS' zero-tolerance policy and complete pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and fit testing. Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Clean driving record and ability to provide a commercial driver's abstract.
