Gravel Pit Supervisor/ Shift Boss

to oversee the day-to-day operations of our gravel pit.

Job Summary:

The Gravel Pit Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of gravel pit operations, ensuring safety compliance, maximizing productivity, and maintaining equipment and staff performance. This role requires strong leadership, operational experience, and a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily operations of the gravel pit including production, safety, maintenance, and quality control. Coordinate with management to meet production goals and schedules. Monitor and maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Lead and train employees, ensuring proper use of equipment and safe working practices. Maintain and inspect equipment regularly; schedule repairs or replacements as necessary. Run heavy equipment and actively participate in day-to-day operations as required. Track inventory and manage material output to meet demand. Prepare reports on production, maintenance, and personnel activities. Collaborate with contractors, haulers, and internal departments as needed.

Qualifications:

Valid Shift Boss Certification and Mines Supervisor Certification. We will provide training and pay for the Pit Boss Certification for the right candidate. 3+ years of experience in aggregate operations or a similar field. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and maintenance. Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations . Ability to manage crews and work in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Valid driver's license

Working Conditions:

Outdoor work in varying weather conditions. May require long hours.

Pay: $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
