The Grassroots Soccer Coach will support McKenzie United's mission to provide a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where young players can learn, grow, and enjoy the game of soccer. Working with players aged 3-12, the coach will focus on developing fundamental skills, teamwork, and a lifelong love for the sport.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver the provided curriculum for U3-U12 players that aligns with McKenzie United's grassroots development philosophy.
Create a positive and engaging environment that promotes learning, confidence, and enjoyment.
Develop players' foundational skills, including ball control, passing, movement, and teamwork.
Adapt activities to meet the needs of different ages and ability levels.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, supporting the club's community-focused values.
Encourage sportsmanship, respect, and inclusivity both on and off the field.
Follow Canada Soccer's Grassroots Standards and the club's development framework.
Experience
Previous coaching experience in grassroots soccer or community sports is preferred.
Experience working with children ages 3-12 in a sport, recreation, or educational setting.
Ability to deliver engaging, age-appropriate training sessions.
Experience fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and player enjoyment.
