Graphite Stack Material Specialist

Description

We are looking for a talented Graphite Stack Material Specialist to join our team for our Accelera Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario in Canada. This will be a hybrid role with the potential for partial remote work.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

The fuel cell R&D team is hiring a technical specialist to support the research and development activities within the graphite plate fuel cell stack platform. This includes improvement of existing product and development of new product technologies. Areas of work include:

• Performing routine analysis of materials including microscopy, electrical conductivity test, and mechanical test.
• Developing test fixtures and methods for additional non-routine tests as needed.
• Preparing design of experiments, collecting, and analyzing data, and writing test reports.
• Providing diagnostic support for production activities.
• Participating in design reviews.
• Conducting scientific and patent literature research.

Qualifications

Skills

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Prior entry level engineering equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required.
• Material testing and characterization, such as electrical conductivity test, mechanical test, and microscopy.
• Assembling experiment setup involving compressed gas and liquid.
• Data analysis using Excel or other software tools.
• Reading mechanical drawings.

The following additional skills are an asset:

• Programming for data analysis (R, Python, Matlab, etc).
• Create designs with CAD software (Creo, Solid Edge, etc).
• Knowledge of MS Office tools preferred.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• College, university, or equivalent bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required - Chemical or Material engineering ideal.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
