Spray Lake Sawmills Centre (SLS Centre) is a leading-edge sport and recreational facility encompassing 325,000 square feet, including an aquatic centre, four arenas and a curling centre, fitness & climbing facilities, an indoor turf, track, and gymnasium, and is home to several third-party tenants. SLS Centre is a not-for-profit organization and a registered charity, governed by a volunteer board of directors. About the Position
SLS Centre is looking for a skilled, motivated, and passionate professional - who is skilled in graphic design and social media content creation - to support time sensitive projects in our Marketing Department.


Job Type: Part-time; Temporary
Commitment: 15-25 hours/week; 3-Month Term (with a possibility of extension)
Location: Primarily on-site at SLS Centre (with some flexibility to work at home)


Specific responsibilities:

• Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external partners to create, develop, fine-tune and produce effective visual concepts, campaign designs and layouts.
• Creates final graphic design assets for use across mediums including but not limited to: website (Wix), social media, email marketing, posters, signage, advertisements, presentations and intranet in the form of traditional print and digital.

• 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Rush, Premiere Pro)
• 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in professional social media management
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Teams and Outlook
• A good eye for design, and able to follow prescribed brand standards
• Assets: Google ads/adwords and SEO expertise, with a pulse on current social media marketing practices
• A strong creative writer, with excellent attention to detail
• A team player with the ability to collaborate and work independently
• A self starter who is highly organized and efficient
• A confident and effective communicator with an excellent command of the English language
• A personal passion for recreation, health, fitness, and community! Ideally, local to the Cochrane community.
