The Division of Linguistics in the

School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures

within the

Faculty of Arts

at the University of Calgary is currently seeking a

Graphic Designer

to work on a casual basis over the next 6 months. This position qualifies as casual hire under the AUPE Collective Agreement.



The Division of Linguistics is housed within the School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Calgary. We offer high-quality programs in linguistics at the BA, MA, and PhD levels. Our commitment to teaching excellence and student-oriented research has helped us maintain consistent growth in our undergraduate enrolments over the last ten years while our MA and PhD programs have remained stable. We expect this growth to continue in the coming years as we focus on developing our research strengths in theoretically-informed experimental linguistics.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

(job functions include but are not limited to):

Help develop and improve the visual identity of the groups working under the umbrella of the Division of Linguistics at the University of Calgary. Create ads for the Linguistics programs at the University of Calgary. Create logos, pictures and visuals for the website of the Division of Linguistics.

Qualifications / Requirements:



Experience in Graphic Design. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
