Graphic Designer
to join us.
The Graphic Designer plays a key role in visually shaping WAAD Ventures and its brands. This role ensures consistent, high-quality design across digital, print, and in-store touchpoints, helping our brands stand out and elevating the guest experience.
The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver, detail-oriented, passionate about branding, and capable of translating business and marketing objectives into visually impactful designs.
This is a design role with video, photo, and motion graphics being considered an advantage.
Core Responsibilities
1. Brand Design & Visual Identity
Develop digital and print designs that reflect brand identity across all restaurants and corporate entities.
Maintain and enforce brand consistency (typography, color, layout, visual standards).
Support ongoing brand evolution and refresh initiatives.
2. Marketing & Promotional Design
Design marketing assets including:
posters
menu boards
flyers
point-of-sale materials
promotional banners
digital screens
packaging and labels
Collaborate with marketing team on seasonal campaigns, promotions, and new product launches.
Create artwork for corporate communications and presentations.
3. Digital Content Design
Create graphics for social media, ads, email marketing, and website content.
Design web banners, landing page visuals, and UI elements aligned with digital brand guidelines.
Support digital strategy with conversion-focused creative assets.
4. Franchisee Support & Adaptations
Produce localized variations of design assets for franchise locations while maintaining strict brand compliance.
Create templates and ready-to-use toolkits for franchisees (posters, local promotions, social posts).
Provide support and visual guidance to franchise partners when needed.
5. Collaboration & Project Execution
Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Product Development, and HR to understand project needs and deliver effective design solutions.
Manage multiple design requests simultaneously and prioritize deadlines.
Participate in creative brainstorming and contribute visual ideas for brand growth.
Bonus Skills
Basic photo editing and enhancement for menu items or events.
Light video editing for simple social clips or internal content.
Motion graphics for digital screens (e.g., animated menu elements).
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in graphic design (hospitality, retail, or food service is an asset).
Strong portfolio demonstrating brand identity, layout, digital, and print design capabilities.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Experience with Canva or Figma is an asset.
Strong attention to detail, typography, and visual consistency.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of designing for print (bleeds, color profiles, output prep).
