The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing and producing creative concepts across digital and print media, including marketing materials, advertisements, brochures, social media assets, and website graphics. This role supports branding initiatives, ensuring consistency across all materials, while collaborating with marketing and communications teams to align designs with campaign objectives. The Graphic Designer manages multiple projects simultaneously, integrates current design trends, and contributes to maintaining a strong and cohesive brand presence.
This position will be based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario. Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.
Contract Period:
12 months contract
Responsibilities:
Develop and produce creative concepts for digital and print media, including marketing materials, advertisements, brochures, social media assets, and website graphics
Design and execute branding initiatives, ensuring consistency across all materials
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to align designs with campaign objectives and brand guidelines
Communicate design ideas effectively to stakeholders and incorporate feedback to refine projects
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and quality standards
Stay updated with design software and technology to maintain industry standards
Maintain and organize digital asset libraries
Research and integrate current design trends to keep materials visually engaging and competitive.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
2-3 years of professional design experience, ideally in health care sector
Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Proficiency in video editing tools such as Premiere Pro
Knowledge of web design (HTML/CSS) and WordPress is a plus
Solid understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and branding principles
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Working knowledge of French (written) is an asset
