EDGE Marketing & Design is currently looking for a skilled graphic designer. You will create eye-catching visuals for print and digital platforms. This role blends creative vision and strategic thinking, where you will create impactful visuals for our diverse clients.

Position Overview

We're looking for someone who can make complex ideas into clear, convincing visuals that spark action. While we embrace modern tools, we believe in the impact of original, human-crafted design that connects with audiences on an emotional level.

Primary Responsibilities

Create unique and eye-catching graphics for print, websites, social media, and email campaigns Develop logos and branding that help clients create a strong and consistent first impression Design and optimize graphics for Google Ads and Facebook advertising Transform technical information into clear, compelling visual communications. Maintain brand consistency across all visual touchpoints Lead visual strategy development for clients Create templates and design systems for multiple platforms Collaborate with copywriters to ensure cohesive messaging Stay current with design trends and best practices Prepare files for print and digital production

The Ideal Candidate

You're a visual storyteller at heart who embraces technology as a tool, not a crutch. Technology can boost efficiency, but it can't replace human creativity and design judgment. You're passionate about design and engaged in ongoing efforts to refine your craft. Ensuring clients have successful visuals is a priority for you.

Core Technical & Design Requirements

Exceptional design skills with a proven ability to create original, compelling visuals Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva Experience creating graphics for websites, print design, and social media Strong technical aptitude, including familiarity with AI design tools Ability to adapt design styles across different industries and brand identities Understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design, or a willingness to learn Video production and editing skills are a plus

Required Skills and Attributes

Strong portfolio showcasing original design work across different formats and industries Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple deadlines Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently A team player who thrives on constructive feedback to improve results Positive attitude and strong problem-solving abilities Comfortable learning new technologies and adapting to change Strong communication skills to present and explain design concepts Experience with digital marketing platforms and tools is an asset

Work Environment and Culture

An office-first but hybrid work environment with flexibility between our Lacombe office and remote work. Compensation and Growth
