Graphic Designer

Job Description

The graphic designer position is a permanent full-time job opportunity. The ideal candidate for this role should have an expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process. They must be able to collaborate with multiple internal teams, as the role will primarily be working alongside the marketing and web development teams. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of branding and be able to find the right style and layout for each project.





Responsibilities



Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with teams on various materials, including web pages, print for tradeshows, document formatting, internal communications, social media content, and marketing materials. Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identify. Develop concepts and execute original content using colour, text, font style, imagery, and layout. Design webpage layouts and templates. Develop and maintain brand consistency across all visual communications Promotional marketing designs and mangement Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver effective design solutions Create original illustrations, infographics, and visual content that communicates complex ideas simply Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines Present design concepts and incorporate feedback from stakeholders Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices Prepare files for production and work with vendors when necessary

Qualifications & Skills



Three or more years of experience in a similar role. A college diploma (or equivalent) in website design, graphic design or related discipline. Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Organizational and time-management skills. Desire to continue building skill set through education and training. Proven understanding of graphic design fundamentals. Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical skills, and diverse project work Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Proficiency in wordpress Solid understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout principles Excellent communication and collaboration skills Strong time management and organizational abilities Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
