Description:



vbs apparel is looking for a Graphic Design & Marketing Assistant to join their team. This role reports to the Vice President of Team Development and Customer Success and is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can pivot between creative design & marketing initiatives, and enjoys wearing multiple hats.

The ideal candidate is proactive, creative, highly organized, and equally comfortable preparing a marketing report, building digital content, supporting networking events and contributing to design projects for customers.

Your initial role will include:

Graphic Design & Creative Services



Create customer-focused designs: logos, branding packages, apparel graphics, and promotional materials (flyers, banners, digital ads). Consult with clients to understand needs, branding, and provide recommendations. Prepare design presentations for customer approval. Support product team with design decisions. Ensure all designs align with customer brand identity and company standards. Stay current with design trends and bring fresh ideas to projects.

Social Media Marketing



Support strategy execution for two brands. Curate content, schedule posts, and manage Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Handle photography, editing, and engagement with followers. Assist with giveaways and campaign activations.

Email & Digital Marketing



Support email campaigns, layouts, copy, and design. Assist with website and e-commerce products update, as needed. Collect and report on campaign data.

Marketing Operations Support



Coordinate marketing materials and prepare reports. Support event activations, networking events, and signage. Provide general organizational and office support, as needed. Work with CRM (Monday.com) and Microsoft 365 tools. Follow company safety policies to ensure a safe workplace.

Additional Duties



Collaborate with production, sales, marketing, and management teams. Support event activations as needed. Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:



A successful candidate has:

Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Canva, and any other graphic design software 1 to 3 years of proven graphic design experience or similar Portfolio required to demonstrate qualification Ability to illustrate, design, manipulate vector graphics, and organize type layouts Impeccable customer service skills Some experience with logo and branding asset creation Experience with Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn social media platforms Excellent written and visual communication skills Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to pivot in a fluid, fast-paced environment A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and in a team setting

Assets:



Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with digital content creation, copy writing, and creating compelling and engaging branded content Experience with CorelDraw Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp or other marketing tools Previous experience in an apparel print/ production environment would be an asset

Work location & Schedule:



In person at our office in Port Kells, Surrey Weekdays from 8:30am-4:30pm, some offsite weekend hours may be required occasionally Must be able to reliably commute
