What will your typical day look like?

Our clients range from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to large Canadian and global companies. As a Gi3 grant writing professional at Deloitte, you will play a supporting role in helping companies access funding to support their growth and innovation initiatives. You will work with a team of skilled professionals to:

  • Research and keep current on various government funding programs available across Canada;
  • Prioritize and share knowledge for key government funding programs with our G&I regional leaders across Canada and support marketing initiatives;
  • Understand and articulate the various business drivers behind each program;
  • Communicate directly and indirectly with our clients to understand their investments in technology, products, operations, and their people to determine which of their activities qualify for government incentives;
  • Under the direction of our G&I Senior Advisors, prepare business and project plans, budgets, application templates and proposals for funding applications;
  • Plan, organize and execute engagements on time and on budget, under the direction of multiple stakeholders.

About the team

We are currently looking for a qualified co-op/intern to join our Gi3 team, within our Grants and Incentives Centre of Excellence (CoE). Deloitte\'s Gi3 team is the leading incentives team both in Canada and globally. We help Canadian companies become more competitive globally by advising them on business and financial strategies to support their growth plans.

You are someone who:
  • Working towards an undergraduate degree or diploma in the humanities, social sciences, or business;
  • Has an exemplary record of achievement in school both academically and in extracurricular activities;
  • Finds genuine enjoyment in research, and learning about a wide array of industries, which will translate into drafting client grant applications and/or business/marketing plans;
  • Superior verbal and written communication with creative ability to conceptualize and articulate client projects and future benefits;
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams; and self-driven to work independently;
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with competing deadlines and rapidly evolving client and team needs;
  • Critical analysis and problem-solving skills are necessary to make informed recommendations;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
