Our researchers\' expertise and strength attract over $600 million annually from various research funders and partners including federal and provincial governments, industry, foundations, and other organizations.PositionThe Grant Compliance Analyst for the Institutional Portfolio at the University of Alberta will independently manage a high volume of complex research funding, agreements, amendments, and post-award financial administration. Key responsibilities include negotiating and administering agreements, interpreting policies and sponsor terms, and ensuring compliance with both funding agency guidelines and UofA policies.Reporting to Manager Institutional Programs Team, the primary responsibilities of the Grant Compliance Analyst include overseeing post-award administration, ensuring that both contractual and financial management activities align with funding agency guidelines and University of Alberta (UofA) policies. This role involves monitoring and ensuring that all funding agency and UofA milestones are met on time.The analyst will evaluate and improve internal processes, participate in training sessions with the manager, and support outside agencies, central units, and RAS staff. Additionally, they will provide advice and guidance to department administrators and researchers. The role requires a highly motivated, organized self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.Duties
