What you will be doing:

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities & Requirements



This position requires great attention to detail and precision Comply with company safety policies and procedures Excellent customer service - continuous communication with customers Accurately completing necessary documentation Operator will be responsible for the daily unloading of a variety of grain products Assist with other general duties within the facility, including but not limited to sweeping, shoveling and other general housekeeping duties Assist in other loading procedures when necessary Willing to work a rotating shift work schedule, overtime, holidays, nights and weekends as required. Willing to be on call and meet call-out standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies Other duties and responsibilities as required

Physical Requirements:

Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely, walk up and down steps, and work at heights Willing to work outside in inclement weather Able to work in an environment with high dust levels Can lift, push, pull at least fifty (50) pounds In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift) Must have the ability to work safely, communicate well and perform in a team environment

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required. Reliable transportation For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English Available to work overtime and weekends Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications) Valid Driver's License Must be at least 18 years of Age.
