Seeking a PhD candidate. Our lab seeks to increase our understanding the role of metabolism in the regulation of immune cell function. The candidate will gain experience in modern molecular technique including CRISPR, flow cytometry, ELISA, western blotting, qPCR, RNA sequencing and cell culture. Candidates will benefit from collaboration within the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences and working with staff from the Core facilities available at the University of Manitoba. Our research is relevant to metabolic diseases including but not limited to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, chronic liver disease, fibrosis, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and other inflammatory disease.
The Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology within the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences has a track record of excellence in science. Trainees can expect exposure to a broad range of cutting-edge health science research. A stipend will be provided in accordance with NSERC and the University of Manitoba\'s policies on Graduate Student funding. Our lab is committed to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion.
