Who We Are

School of Public Policy (SPP) is a part of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at SFU, operating from its Vancouver campus. SPP has a cohort based graduate program, Masters in Public Policy (MPP) and a minor in Public Policy (PPM). The School is comprised of a small and dynamic team of professionals and academics striving to enhance policy making, whilst contributing to SFU\'s national and international image as a valued institution.

About the Role

Provides confidential secretarial and administrative support to the Director, School of Public Policy, the Graduate Program Chair, and assists the Manager, Academic and Administrative Services as required. Responds to or redirects requests for general and routine information from graduate students and faculty on program requirements, scholarships, bursaries and fellowships, fees and deadlines. Processes and maintains graduate student files. Maintains faculty and instructor administration files and prepares paperwork related to faculty appointments, promotion, tenure and salary review. Provides administrative support to a variety of Department committees.

Qualifications

High school graduation and one year of post secondary education or formal program equivalent, including training in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications and in administrative processes.

Please note: This position offers a hybrid schedule working 4 days on campus and 1 day remote.
