Advisian\xe2\x80\x99s Transport, Infrastructure & Logistics (TIL) team is a leading provider of Ports and Marine and Material Handling services. Our diverse maritime capability, together with the understanding of complex port and marine terminal requirements for commercial ports, mining and hydrocarbons industries, allows us to deliver integrated and cost-effective solutions to our customers. The Graduate Marine Structural Engineer is a full-time position based in Vancouver, BC. Canada.

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities The successful candidate will be assigned small projects from planning to implementation and typical tasks include:

• Develop work plans and budgets

• Liaise with clients and determine client requirements

• Provide preliminary / conceptual design through to detailed design for marine infrastructures

• Conduct field work (inspection and review during construction)

• Prepare project deliverables including drawings, specifications, and reports

• Support senior staff on larger projects including:

• Detailed analysis and design of marine structures including docks, marinas, ports, ferry terminals, piers, steel sheet pile structures, steel and timber pile structures, floating structures and waterfront facilities.

• Inter-discipline coordination

• Assist with project reporting

Qualifications
\xc2\xa7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in civil/structural engineering
\xc2\xa7 Structural design experience using steel, concrete, and timber
\xc2\xa7 Experience with seismic design and soil-structures interaction
\xc2\xa7 Interest in working on large scale industrial and maritime projects
\xc2\xa7 Understanding of tides, wave and wind forces is preferred
\xc2\xa7 Experience with structural analysis software and Microsoft Office is preferred
\xc2\xa7 Good communication skills both written and verbal
\xc2\xa7 Excellent organizational and time management skills
\xc2\xa7 Exceptional interpersonal skills
for candidates based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range on this role is: $72201 to $106178 CAD per year
