Grade Labourer

Reporting to: Foreperson

Grade Labourer

sets grades, checking elevations, dumping trucks, and working with heavy equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Read and interpret construction drawings

Use survey instruments to establish correct line and grade

Identify any conflicts and report to site supervisor

Work with engineers and surveyors to solve problems

Achieve correct grade by directing operators of equipment to adjust grade by moving earth, gravel, and other materials

Measure distances from reference points or offsets to accurately install utilities

Requirements:

Experienced working as a Grade labourer is required

Mathematically inclined to accurately calculate or extrapolate finished elevations

Valid drivers license and own reliable transportation
