Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Geologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in geological sciences, with experience in data collection, research, and analysis. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects involving environmental assessment, resource exploration, and construction support. The successful applicant will utilize advanced GIS tools and software to support project objectives and contribute to innovative geological solutions.

Duties

Participating in field work collecting, analyzing, and documenting rock grab, RC chip, channel and till samples. Directing drill and labour crew as needed. Collecting rock samples and performing quality control to ensure accuracy. Conducting field inspections to verify geological data and delineate grade blocks. Assisting in the creation of technical reports and communicating findings to relevant personnel Surveying proposed drill targets, final drill hole locations, trench outlines and sample locations. Geological mapping. Data compilation and interpretation. Actively participating in daily toolbox talks. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field; advanced degrees preferred Experience in a remote construction or operational setting with shift/rotations is an asset. Experience in a Mining or similar industrial setting is considered an asset.

Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $325.00-$425.00 per day
