Job Description

EIPS is recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) Grade 7 and 8 Teacher at Mundare School. This unique junior high position will be teaching all grade 7 and 8 subjects to Mundare's very small junior high class of appropriately 10 students. This elementary style classroom is a great opportunity for any elementary and/or secondary trained teacher. The successful applicant will teach all core subjects and most option courses.







Mundare School serves approximately 100 students in kindergarten to Grade 8, with seven teaching staff and six support staff. The school is located in Mundare, AB, approximately 70 kilometres northeast of Sherwood Park, AB.

Qualifications:




Bachelor of Education degree Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate Effective organization and classroom management skills Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged Excellent verbal and written skills Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction Strong collaboration and teamwork skills Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
