About the Role





We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Grade 4/5 teacher to cover a maternity leave for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a unique opportunity to join a supportive, collaborative team and to make a lasting impact in a culturally rich, community-driven school environment.





You will teach all core subjects to a Grade 4/5 split class, working within a school that emphasizes cultural connections, curriculum-aligned outdoor learning, and the integration of Stoney Nakoda language and values into everyday teaching.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification) Experience teaching or willingness to teach in a split-grade setting Commitment to Indigenous education, Truth and Reconciliation, and culturally responsive teaching Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills Ability to build caring and respectful relationships with students, families, and community members Familiarity with assessment tools such as Fountas & Pinnell, and Alberta provincial screenings is an asset Experience or interest in outdoor education and land-based learning is strongly encouraged
