Job Description

The Fort McMurray Roman Catholic Separate School Division is seeking a grade 1 teacher at St. Gabriel School as soon as possible until the end of the school year June 25 2026.

Duties of Elementary School teachers may include but, not limited to, the following:

identify students' individual and collective learning needs plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to his or her potential help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes. meet with parents evaluate and communicate student progress prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities attend meetings, seminars, and in-service training sessions.

What you bring:

Must be eligible for Alberta Teacher Certification and hold a Bachelor of Education Degree Strong relationship building skills Flexible and adaptable Organized and able to meet deadlines in accordance with the school schedule Commitment to education and excited to work with students each day
