We are seeking an experienced

Governance Lead

with a strong background in

software testing, quality assurance, and compliance governance

. The ideal candidate will have at least

8 years of QA/testing experience

, including

3+ years in a governance or leadership capacity

. This role is responsible for defining and implementing governance frameworks that ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish and oversee

test governance frameworks

, policies, and best practices across multiple programs.
Ensure adherence to

SOX control

,

data governance

, and

regulatory compliance

(SOX, GDPR, ISO, etc.).
Drive continuous improvement in testing and quality assurance processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test lifecycle alignment with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
Govern and monitor usage of test management tools (e.g.,

JIRA

,

HP ALM

,

qTest

).
Review and assess automation, performance, and security testing strategies to ensure quality and compliance.
Create and maintain high-quality documentation and governance reports for senior stakeholders.
Provide guidance and oversight on

test automation governance

frameworks and implementation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

8+ years

of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

3+ years

in a governance, quality leadership, or compliance oversight role.
Strong understanding of

test lifecycle management

,

QA methodologies

, and governance frameworks.
Experience with

SOX controls

,

data governance

, and

test automation

.
Proficiency in test management tools such as

JIRA

,

HP ALM

, or

qTest

.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Familiarity with

regulatory compliance standards

(SOX, GDPR, ISO).

Preferred Skills:

Exposure to

performance

and

security testing

frameworks.
Experience in enterprise or regulated environments (e.g., banking, insurance, or healthcare).
Certifications in

ISTQB

CGEIT

are a plus.
