Position Summary
Are you a passionate and results-driven sales professional with a deep understanding of the golf and turf industry? Podolinsky Equipment Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Golf and Turf Sales Representative to manage and grow our client base across Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for selling our high-quality turf products, equipment, and services to golf courses, sports fields, municipalities, and commercial landscapers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Build and manage relationships
with existing and potential customers within your assigned territory, including superintendents, groundskeepers, and facility managers.
Generate new business
by actively prospecting for new clients and identifying sales opportunities.
Provide expert advice
and conduct onsite consultations to recommend the best equipment needs.
Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations
to showcase the features and benefits of our offerings.
Negotiate contracts
and close sales to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas.
Stay informed
on industry trends, new products, and competitor activities.
Attend industry events and trade shows
as a representative of the company.
Supports the inventory, sale & fulfilment of products and/or services
to meet customer needs with a concentration on the golf & other business to business segments.
Provides recommendations
to customers, ensuring impeccable professional customer service.
Work collaboratively with internal teams
to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and support business goals across all brands.
Follows & supports company policies,
including Health & Safety and confidentiality of customers and proprietary information. Complies with legal requirements.
Other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.
Qualifications
A diploma or degree in a related field (e.g., Golf Course Management, Business Administration, Agronomy) is preferred.
Proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Experience in the golf and turf industry is a significant asset.
Strong knowledge of turfgrass varieties, maintenance solutions, and equipment is an advantage.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
Proficiency in general computer skills.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel within the assigned Ontario territory.
Ability to tow trailer and demonstrate equipment.
Valid passport required, US travel required for industry events and training.
