Oakfield Golf and Country Club is an 18 Hole Championship golf course located in Enfield, Nova Scotia. Oakfield GCC was established in 1962 as an inclusive, welcoming and modern country club. The course was originally designed by
Robbie Robinson, a Stanley Thompson protege. The course has since been renovated by Graham Cooke at the turn of the century. Oakfield GCC is a semi private golf club with a large membership, modern lifestyle and a member first approach to service.
Position Overview
We are seeking a
Golf Shop Attendant
to support the daily operations of the Golf Shop and ensure an exceptional experience for our members and guests. This role involves handling check-ins and bookings, maintaining the Golf Shop's presentation, and assisting with golf-related services.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and assist members and guests in a professional, friendly manner.
Manage check-ins and tee-time bookings efficiently.
Provide clear and helpful communication to members regarding course conditions, policies, and events.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked Golf Shop.
Tracks daily activity and member charges, and other routine transactions on the POS.
Work with the Outside Services team to ensure consistent golf cart availability.
Communicate tee-sheet updates and course-related information to the starter.
Assist members with golf product inquiries and offer knowledgeable recommendations.
Support Golf Professionals with tournament and event setup.
Assist members with tee time bookings, and tournament registrations.
Adhere to uniform standards and maintain professional personal hygiene.
Participate in employee orientation and safety training.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
Prior experience in a golf-related setting is an asset.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Basic knowledge of golf products and services is an asset.
Ability to lift up to
25 lbs.
and perform physical tasks such as bending and standing.
Comfortable working outdoors in warm temperatures.
Valid driver's license required.
Availability:
Start in mid-late August, and available until the end of the golf season (October/November).
Must be available to work mornings shifts,
evenings, weekends, and holidays.
