POSITION(S) NEEDED: NON STUDENTS - MUST HAVE WEEKDAY AVAILIBILITY INCLUDING AM HOURS, + ONE WEEKEND MORNING.

COURSE: Seymour Golf and Country Club

JOB TYPE: 28-32 HOURS PER WEEK

START/END DATE: Early September to early/mid November (end date is dependent on weather and course needs)

Seymour Golf and Country Club was established in 1953 and is a member-owned semi-private 18 hole golf facility located in the heart of Deep Cove in North Vancouver. About The Groundsperson Position:

Working with our Turf Care Maintenance Team in a detail-oriented environment, the Groundsperson ensures all golf course grooming practices are completed safely and efficiently to exceed our members' expectations. This position is a tremendous opportunity for a hard working individual passionately pursuing employment in the outdoors. This versatile and competitive unionized position offers a blend of independent work, as well as team-oriented tasks.

Responsibilities:

Involved in our sand bunker maintenance programs Leaf Program clean-up practices including raking, blowing, debris removal including branches Potential involvement/training with more advanced tasks such as course setup duties, some mowing/rolling

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to effectively work outdoors in all elements (starting as early as 5:30 AM) Valid Driver's License with a reliable mode of transportation is preferred (public transportation is not an option with our early morning seasonal start times) Previous experience in golf course maintenance, or something similar, is an asset Able to lift up to 50 lbs, and able to perform physical duties for long periods of time (in all elements) Experience with standard transmission vehicles is an asset
