What You Will Do


  • Assist in monitoring, consolidating, researching, and analyzing data on global economics, public policy, social and regulatory developments in corporate areas of interest globally as directed
  • Assist in overseeing stakeholder database, monitoring entries, uploading stakeholder contact details, supporting reporting needs as directed
  • Prepare briefing notes following external meetings, conferences, and internal meetings as needed
  • Assist the Senior Specialist in the preparation of reports and presentations to internal and external audiences, including data compilation, writing, and proofreading
  • Assist with the development of a comprehensive government relations strategy, and related policies, priorities, and best practices
  • Provide project management support to the Senior Vice President, External Relations and Senior Specialist, Global Government Relations.

By the end of your internship, you will have developed and enhanced understanding of how Government Relations supports Kinross.

Must Haves


  • 3rd or 4th year undergraduate studies in Politics, International Relations, Economics, Business, or related program from a recognized educational institution with an excellent academic record.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information quickly.
  • Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Flexibility to undertake various tasks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to work well in a team environment.
  • The Applicant must have their own lodging in Toronto for the duration of the placement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
