Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Canada. Job Title: Security Guard - Patrols & Comms Job Location: Ingersoll, ON Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary Pay Rate: $21. 17 NOTE: This site is located in Ingersoll, ON. This is not located on a bus route. QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Be able to read, write and speak in English and possess reading, writing and comprehension skills sufficient to compose clearly and concise written reports and read and understand rules, regulations, policies and similar instructions.
  • Have work experience in security, policing or a related field;
  • Possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License; a First aid/CPR certification (or CAMI equivalent) and must be able to obtain a clear driveras abstract
  • Be poised, tactful and diplomatic and have the ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment under stress and in emergency situations;
  • Due to the nature of work being performed, must be in good physical condition and able to perform the Services
  • Have working knowledge of various computer applications including; Excel, Word, Lotus Notes
  • Have working knowledge of access control, CCTV and life safety systems
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Reports directly to the Security Shift Supervisor.
  • Excellent customer service etiquette is required
  • Patrols interior and exterior of entire facility
  • Main dispatch for internal and external emergency services
  • Responsible for enforcing visitor protocol.
  • Utilize CCTV system
  • Notify Insurance Underwriters and AHJ of fire system impairments as required
  • Contact plant individuals as per the ERP as required
  • Assist in coordinating transportation for employees who require assistance
  • Verifying access permissions for all people attending the site, prior to authorizing access
  • Respond to the simplex fire system and dispatch accordingly
  • Incident Report writing and keep daily activity log
  • Issuing and maintaining working alone equipment
  • Atmospheric Monitoring for Confined Space Entry Permits or as required
  • Issuance of Hot Work Permits as required
  • Perform fire watch duties as required
  • Issue Parking Violations as required
  • Monthly fence and lighting audits
  • And perform all other duties as required by the site
