Job Summary

We are seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Organization within our Technical Support team. The technical support team is a multi-disciplinary organization with interface to technical, and in some cases business, support requirements for our Global Manufacturing Admin Area. Its function caters mainly to the technical needs across our Global Manufacturing operating facilities. Your primary role will be to handle instrumentation and metering engineering aspects. This will include designing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining metering systems, across multiple facilities from the Downstream Headquarters. You will also be responsible for providing technical support on high priority metering systems issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance, support, training, and expertise to plant departments.
  • Monitor the performance of instrumentation and metering systems across all downstream departments.
  • Assess the performance of metering and instrumentation systems and recommend improvements for system optimization.
  • Develop and maintain lifecycle management activities for metering and instrumentation systems.
  • Establish auditing guidelines and conduct frequent audits of metering systems and instruments.
  • Lead the development of new strategies and validate the feasibility of improving company productivity.
  • Ensure manufacturing knowledge is captured in the knowledge repository and deliver continuous improvement through benchmarking and best practices.
  • Conduct awareness sessions and lead technical exchanges and conferences.
  • Maintain the Instrumentation and metering system knowledge repository.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Instrumentation and metering systems and contribute to troubleshooting activities.
Requirements:
  • Willing to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Hold a Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Possess a minimum of 12 years of experience in refining, oil and gas plants, or petrochemical industries.
  • Proficiency in the codes and standards relevant to the oil and gas industry, including API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc., is essential.
  • Have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of metering systems.
  • Be familiar with various field instrument types and their applications.
  • Possess a working knowledge of oil and gas-related plant processes.
