Job Summary

The Senior Industrial Skills Trainer role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including completing the approvals and indoctrination process. Once assigned, the candidate serves as an Operational Firefighter developer within one of six Divisions or as an Instructor at one of three Training Centers across the country. Responsibilities also involve curricula development, instructional design, needs analysis, and the creation of purpose-fit instructional packages and test instruments for e-learning, virtual learning, and in-person classes. The FrPD holds third-party accreditation, continuously revising processes for talent development and operational readiness. Direct responsibilities include training and developing new recruits, This Company employees, FrPD Staff, Community members, Contractors, and Business Partners. The role entails leading instructional teams, ensuring training aligns with curricula, and evaluating it with associated test instruments. Coaching, mentoring, and developing FrPD Instructors and Trainers, collaborating on peripheral activities like budget forecasting, materials inventory management, and safe working environment operations, are crucial. Additional duties encompass administration, materials, facilities, equipment maintenance, course registration, safety, and adherence to policies and directives.

Responsibilities:

Candidates will be directly responsible for training and development of:

  • New recruits (APNE\'s)
  • This Company employees (Proponents)
  • FrPD Staff
  • Community members
  • Contractors
  • Business Partners as assigned
The candidate shall lead instructional field teams, ensuring that training is delivered according to established curricula and evaluated using associated test instruments.

The candidate will coach, mentor, and develop FrPD Instructors and Trainers to advance their career paths and succession opportunities.

Expectation to collaborate and contribute to facilitate peripheral activities such as:
  • Budget forecasting
  • Materials inventory management & procurement procedures
  • Facility & equipment utilization
  • Resource maintenance and repair
  • Mentorship & mid-level supervision
  • Safe working environment operations
Candidates will be assigned additional duties as necessary to support training operations, including:
  • Administration/IT
  • Materials/inventory
  • Facilities/equipment/apparatus maintenance
  • Course registration, administration, certification, and documentation
  • Safety, inspection, and housekeeping
The candidate shall support, enforce, and abide by This Company policies and FrPD GIs, SOPs, and other valid superior-issued directives.

Requirements:
  • This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Fire-Rescue, Emergency Management, or OH&S Field may also be considered.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Exceptional knowledge of fire ground operations in municipal and industrial settings.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of frontline operational experience in a fire department.
  • Experience in various occupancies including municipal, petrochemical, refinery, gas processing, airport, marine port, structural, commercial, industrial, and residential.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering NBFSPQ or IFSAC accredited certified fire training programs.
Required Certifications for Minimum Consideration:
  • ProBoard and/or IFSAC Certification as Fire Service Instructor II.
  • NFPA 1001 FF-II
  • NFPA 1072 Technician
  • NFPA 1006 Rope, Confined Space, and Vehicle/Machinery Rescue Technician
  • NFPA 1021 Fire Officer Level-II
Preferred Consideration:
  • Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or IFSAC/NBFSPQ certifications in addition to minimum requirements according to NFPA professional qualifications standards.
Preferred Bachelor\'s Degree:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Arts, Applied Science, or Science within the realm of Fire Science, Emergency Management, or Occupational Health and Safety.
Certification Requirement:
  • NBFSPQ or IFSAC Accredited certification is a condition of acceptance.
