POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Corporate Treasurer, the Global Insurance Risk Manager manages and coordinates the day-to-day insurance and risk management activities including the provision of appropriate insurance coverage for all the Company assets, the administration and management of claims against the company, as well as physical risk identification and mitigation. The position will also have exposure to other Treasury activities.

DUTIES

Insurance

• Maintain compliance with global insurance policies and coverages.
• Design and manage database of global underwriting information.
• Work closely with the Company\'s insurance agent to manage the annual renew process.
• Design and manage global premium allocation.
• Manage the insurance claims process.
• Ensure all insurance policy documentations are complete and accurate.
• Review, analyze, evaluate and propose actions to senior management to manage and mitigate risk issues to various insurance programs.
• Visit Mattr sites where possible to identify potential additional physical risks and suggest corrective mitigation techniques.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Insurance Brokers, Adjusters and Underwriters as well as with Divisional Operating and Finance teams.
• Work closely with the Company\'s captive insurance structure.

Treasury

• Administer the Company\'s LC and surety bond programs.
• Assist and manage activities related to daily banking transactions including but not limited to, settlements of loans, interest payments, bank fees, and currency conversions.
• Support Treasury on the administration of electronic banking systems.
• Provide support to various reporting and analysis activities for the Senior Leadership Team, including monthly, quarterly, and annual.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7 - 10 years of experience in Insurance. Finance and Treasury experience would be an asset.
• Degree or diploma in related field (Insurance, Finance, Business, etc.)
• Relevant certifications would be an asset (CA, CPA, CFA, CIP, CRM, etc.)
• Must have strong analytical, judgment and decision-making skills.
• Must possess excellent organizational, communication, and report writing skills.
• High interpersonal skills with diplomacy and tact, as well as ease in interacting with people, to facilitate effective relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Demonstrates ability to champion and manage change and well as an openness to new ideas.
• Position requires considerable attention to detail.
• Knowledge and experience with captives including evaluation of alternative structures considered an asset.
