Our Team:
Analytical Sciences is a global team with members in 4 locations (2-France, 1-Canada, 1-US) representing approximately 250 permanent head count. As a team, Analytical Sciences defines and delivers robust, phase-adapted analytical strategies with robust assays & technologies for investigational & marketed products. Through strong scientific and analytical regulatory knowledge, Analytical Sciences influences regulations supporting approval of new vaccines and market extensions. Analytical Sciences is part of the Global Vaccines CMC Development & Supply team enabling strong interaction with multiple partners including research, bioprocess development, clinical & industrial manufacturing, and industrial quality control partners.
Main Responsibilities:
Leading analytical strategy definition and implementation through analytical technology roadmaps, analytical product roadmaps, and generic specifications. In addition, leading associated lobbying actions to ensure external representation of the company within committees such as European Pharmacopoeia, USP, IABS board, EPAA industrial Steer Co
Ensuring state of art Analytical sciences enabling advancement of New Vaccines Portfolio from early phase development to registration including:
Product analytical characterization by screening and developing state-of-the-art technologies internally or through innovative partnerships and collaborations
Development, validation, and transfer of analytical methods for release and stability assessment of clinical products
Transfer of assays to Quality Control to support licensed product testing
Completing analytical sections of regulatory documents
Applying analytical expertise within internal governing or advisory bodies (such as Analytical Strategy Forum & One Analytical program SteerCo)
About you
Experience: Strong experience in vaccine industry is preferred (R&D &/or Industrial Affairs) with demonstrated global leadership capabilities.
Soft skills: Capable of balanced judgement & risk taking, leadership of global organization & people development, customer focused, results driven, and a bold innovative thinker. Excellent communication skills, able to manage effectively multiple level communications up to top management and down to project team members, able to manage cross-sites and cross-functional communications
Technical skills: Thorough understanding of Biologics analytical science & development, validation, and technology transfer. Understanding of drug/vaccine development process. Internationally recognized analytical expert.
Education: MBA, Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmacist or related field
Languages: Oral and written fluency in English
