What will your typical day look like?

Are you passionate about sustainability and enjoy working with diverse stakeholders across the globe? The Global People & Purpose team is looking for an experienced associate to advance Deloitte\xe2\x80\x99s ESG reporting capabilities across the global organization. This role is within Deloitte Global and will support Deloitte to deliver on its WorldClimategoals, including achieving net-zero emissions, and WorldClassgoals, to support 100 million people with education and skills building opportunities by 2030.

The role is ideal for an experienced professional who wants to advance sustainability through accurate, timely, and consistent sustainability reporting across multiple disciplines (greenhouse gas emissions, energy efficiency, societal impact, volunteering, charitable giving, and many others) within a large global organization.

This role will focus on two distinct, but highly interconnected, work streams: social and environmental reporting. Responsibilities include:
  • Participating in the development of the reporting strategy:
  • Work with purposeleaders to address WorldClassand WorldClimateimpact measurement needs
  • Develop and implement advancements to ESG reporting processes, including performance of internal controls and support of internal and external audits of ESG information
  • Assist in creating effective mechanisms to track Deloitte performance against WorldClassand WorldClimategoals
  • Stay abreast of the rapidly developing ESG reporting field by identifying leading practices, industry trends and emerging regulation
  • Assisting with internal and external ESG communications:
  • Gather inputs and create sustainability content/communications for various internal stakeholders
  • Respond to questionnaires from clients/potential clients as part of RFPs and other sustainability inquiries
  • Supporting the Global People & Purpose team to successfully deliver ESG information published annually in the Deloitte Global Impact Report and in other publications:
  • Create guidance for Member Firm stakeholders around the world as reporting needs evolve, and deliver training on the new guidance
  • Perform system administration for and deliver user training on Deloitte\xe2\x80\x99s environmental reporting technology platform
  • Manage data collection processes
  • Review data and provide recommendations on country-level and global-level goals/KPIs
  • Analyze data and build visualizations to share KPIs with a range of internal and external stakeholders

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree. BA or BS in one of the following fields preferred: Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology, Economics or other technical field
  • Demonstrated experience (occupational and/or significant volunteer involvement) and/or education in sustainability \xe2\x80\x93 environmental or social
  • Superb Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience in designing and testing internal controls over reporting
  • Experience in internal audit or external assurance
  • High attention to detail and strong data skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large sets of data to identify exceptions and anomalies
  • Experience in organizing and leading virtual meetings
  • Experience in creating deliverables for various types of stakeholders ranging from executive level to new hires
  • Interest and ability to work collaboratively across a virtual team and multiple, complex stakeholder divisions
