Glazier

Full time - approx. 40 hours/week

About the position

We are looking for someone to help assist with installations on various job sites across the lower mainland. The ideal candidate is an experienced glazier who can think for themselves and handle arising issues without direct supervision.

Responsibilities and Duties

Install a variety of aluminum and metal glazing systems including doors, framing, storefront, curtain wall, and architectural hardware Work in the shop to assemble and glaze materials Read and interpret technical drawings Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy Repair, troubleshoot, and retrofit existing openings and hardware when required Work at different heights, using boom, scissor lift, scaffolding, etc., when required Drive/travel to job sites Operate forklift/telehandler (if able) when required

Experience

Previous glazing experience, especially in commercial settings or in a related field is required Experience with doors, frames, hardware is an asset Experience working in a production setting such as an aluminum stick shop is an asset

Qualifications

Formal education in the field (such as a degree, diploma, or certification from a trade school) is an asset Forklift ticket is an asset Fall protection, scissor lift, boom lift certifications are an asset Valid driver's license is an asset Possession of valid work permit or otherwise authorized to work in Canada

Skills

Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand instructions from design team is required Good at managing priorities and multitasking (critical) Exceptional proficiency and communication skills in English (critical) Ability to work well under pressure, deal with a variety of options in complex situations, and solve difficult problems Ability to take the initiative, work autonomously and as part of a team Accuracy, attention to details Ability to lift more than 50 lb when required

Pay: $22.22-$41.98 per hour
