FTI Ontario is excited to offer Training the Future Workforce, a

Glazier

Apprenticeship Readiness Program designed to prepare you for success in the trade.

A

Glazier

is responsible for laying out, measuring, preparing, fabricating, and installing or replacing architectural glass, metal components, and air/vapour barriers. These are used in systems such as entranceways, windows, skylights, storefronts, wall facings, partitions, and curtain walls.

You'll receive hands-on training, industry certifications, and the opportunity to begin a rewarding career in the finishing trades.

Program Details:



6 Weeks of In-Class Training (Unpaid)

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Led by experienced, certified instructors Tools, equipment, and PPE provided

12 Weeks of Paid Work Placement (paid)



What You'll Learn:



The program delivers a crash course in job readiness and trade fundamentals, including:

Health & Safety Trade Basics Foundational Trade Knowledge Hands-On Preparation

Eligibility Requirements

18 years or older

(or have parental/guardian consent if under 18) Submit a

current resume

In order to become an apprentice:

Have government-issued photo ID A permanent SIN, S.I.N beginning with 9 can not be processed. Provide proof of a

Canadian high school diploma or transcript

showing at least 16 credits, including Grade 10 Math, English, and Science
