YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Senior Resource Geologist, you will be part of the Production Geology Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Collection of pertinent geological data from drill core
Entry of geological data into industry standard software
Ensure best practices are followed regarding core logging, sampling and database management
Assist in the planning and execution of diamond drill programs
Communicate effectively and contribute to geological discussions
Internal reporting as required
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelor's degree in Geology or Earth Sciences
Registered GIT or PGeo preferred
Strong academic and applied background in orogenic gold deposits
1-3 years experience in mineral exploration, including core logging
Experience with industry standard software: DHLogger, Fusion, Leapfrog
Experience working on a mine site is considered an asset
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
