Gin Workshop Leader & Distillery Guide (part Time)

Job Description

Do you love craft spirits, enjoy connecting with people, and thrive in hands-on, interactive settings? We're seeking personable, knowledgeable team members to lead our gin-making workshops and distillery tours. This role combines teaching, customer engagement, and a chance to represent our award-winning distillery at markets and community events. Training is Provided.

Our space is a historic, repurposed military stable that now houses our production, restaurant, and experiences.

What You'll Do

Guide Gin Classes

- Lead groups of up to 24 guests as they design recipes and create their own gin. Training provided.

Guide Whisky Blending Classes -

Lead groups of up to 16 guests as they design whisky blends and create their own to take home. Training provided.

Support the Process

- Assist participants with recipe building, distillation setup, and proofing/bottling of their final product.

Bring Stories to Life

- Deliver clear, engaging explanations of distilling concepts in a way anyone can understand.

Prioritize Safety

- Ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to safe practices.

Maintain the Space

- Handle setup, cleanup, and inventory prep between sessions.

Lead Tours

- Share our history and production process during scheduled tours.

Community Engagement

- Attend local markets, interact with potential customers, and promote our products and experiences.

- Able to manage class flow, keep guests engaged, and ensure each person has a memorable experience.

- Excited to absorb product knowledge and distilling techniques.

Safety Awareness

- Understands the importance of safe alcohol production and equipment use.

Adaptable

- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and events that vary with seasonality.

Nice-to-Have Experience



Teaching, public speaking, or facilitating workshops. Leading large groups with energy and confidence. Basic comfort with numbers and measuring tools (hydrometer, etc.). Background in the military is highly valued, given the history of our site.

Schedule



Workshops, experiences, tours, and market events typically fall on evenings and weekends, with shifts averaging 4-8 hours including setup and teardown. Scheduling depends on bookings and event calendars, with additional opportunities during peak seasons.

Pay & Perks

Hourly wage:

$18-$24 (based on experience)
