QUEL EST LE TRAVAIL?

Le responsable d\'unit\xc3\xa9 est charg\xc3\xa9 de la gestion quotidienne et hebdomadaire, des t\xc3\xa2ches administratives et connexes telles que la programmation des employ\xc3\xa9s, l\'attribution du travail, la commande de nourriture et d\'autres fournitures, la gestion de l\'inventaire de la nourriture, le traitement des plaintes des clients et l\'autorisation du paiement des factures.

Principales responsabilit\xc3\xa9s:
Gestion du personnel:

  • Superviser, former et contr\xc3\xb4ler les associ\xc3\xa9s en ce qui concerne les proc\xc3\xa9dures de s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 alimentaire et de s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 du restaurant.
  • Programmer et coordonner les horaires et les t\xc3\xa2ches des employ\xc3\xa9s, en tenant compte des besoins de l\'entreprise et des comp\xc3\xa9tences et aptitudes de chaque employ\xc3\xa9.
  • Contr\xc3\xb4ler les pr\xc3\xa9sences et rapport \xc3\xa0 l\'\xc3\xa9quipe de direction tout retard ou absence d\'un employ\xc3\xa9.
  • Contribuer \xc3\xa0 la formation et \xc3\xa0 l\'application des politiques de l\'entreprise (y compris celles relatives au paiement des salaires aux associ\xc3\xa9s r\xc3\xa9mun\xc3\xa9r\xc3\xa9s \xc3\xa0 l\'heure et celles destin\xc3\xa9es \xc3\xa0 pr\xc3\xa9venir le harc\xc3\xa8lement sexuel, la discrimination et les repr\xc3\xa9sailles en cas de signalement d\'infractions \xc3\xa0 la politique).
  • Veiller \xc3\xa0 ce que le travail effectu\xc3\xa9 soit conforme \xc3\xa0 la r\xc3\xa9glementation et \xc3\xa0 la conformit\xc3\xa9, et cr\xc3\xa9er des processus si n\xc3\xa9cessaire.

  • Assurer la conformit\xc3\xa9 avec l\'assurance qualit\xc3\xa9 de Dana, la loi sur la sant\xc3\xa9 et la s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 au travail et la r\xc3\xa9glementation SIMDUT.
  • Entreprendre des inspections fr\xc3\xa9quentes du lieu de travail et des formations SIMDUT pour l\'ensemble du personnel et les g\xc3\xa9rer efficacement.
Service \xc3\xa0 la client\xc3\xa8le:
  • Coordonner les activit\xc3\xa9s de production et de service d\'une \xc3\xa9quipe d\'associ\xc3\xa9s afin d\'assurer un service efficace et ax\xc3\xa9 sur le client.
  • Inspecter l\'int\xc3\xa9rieur et l\'ext\xc3\xa9rieur de l\'unit\xc3\xa9 pour v\xc3\xa9rifier les besoins d\'entretien et de nettoyage et assurer le suivi pour veiller \xc3\xa0 ce que les probl\xc3\xa8mes d\'entretien et de nettoyage soient r\xc3\xa9solus.
Suivre et contr\xc3\xb4ler les co\xc3\xbbts et s\xc3\xa9curiser les revenus :
  • Dresser l\'inventaire et veiller \xc3\xa0 ce que la quantit\xc3\xa9 de nourriture et de fournitures disponibles soit suffisante.
  • Effectuer diverses t\xc3\xa2ches comptables sur les ventes, les fournitures d\'exploitation, les salaires et l\'inventaire.
  • Responsable de l\'argent liquide et de la nourriture en stock.
WHAT\'S THE JOB?

Dana Hospitality (a part of Dexterra Group) provides exceptional food service solutions to various clients, including McGill University. As the primary food service provider on the campus, we are committed to delivering homemade cooking and creating an inclusive and enjoyable dining experience for students and other guests.

We are seeking a talented and responsible Unit Manager who will be accountable for the economic success of the assigned unit. Unit Manager is responsible for handling daily and weekly management, administrative and related duties such as scheduling employees, assigning work, ordering food and other supplies, managing inventory of food, handling customer complaints and authorizing payment of bills.

Key Responsibilities:

People Management:
  • Supervise, train and monitor associates regarding proper food safety and restaurant security procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate employees\' shifts and work assignments, taking into consideration business needs and the skills and abilities of individual employees.
  • Track attendance and report to the management team any late or absent employees.
  • Assist in the training and enforcement of company policies (including those related to the payment of wages to hourly. associates and those designed to prevent sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation for reporting policy violations).
  • Ensure that the work carried out is in line with regulations and compliance, create processes if necessary.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the unit regarding new targets and goals as well as changes and any upcoming events.
Safety and Security:
  • Achieve compliance with Dana\'s Quality Assurance, Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations.
  • Initiate frequent workplace inspections and WHMIS training of all staff and effectively manage all.
Customer Service:
  • Coordinate production and service activities of a team of associates to ensure efficient, customer-focused service.
  • Inspect the inside and outside of the unit for maintenance and cleaning needs and follow up to ensure maintenance and cleaning issues are resolved.
Tracking and Controlling Costs\\Securing Revenue:
  • Conduct inventory and ensure an adequate amount of food and supplies are on hand.
  • Complete various accounting duties on sales, operating supplies, payroll and inventory.
  • Responsible for the cash and food in inventory.
Qualifications

QUI RECHERCHONS-NOUS ?
  • 3+ ans d\'exp\xc3\xa9rience en gestion de services alimentaires
  • Certification MAPAQ (manager) et/ou ServeSafe et/ou FoodSafe.
  • La capacit\xc3\xa9 de g\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9rer des revenus et de satisfaire les clients.
  • Les comp\xc3\xa9tences pour contr\xc3\xb4ler les co\xc3\xbbts de la nourriture et de la main d\'\xc5\x93uvre et de g\xc3\xa9rer les r\xc3\xa9sultats par rapport aux pr\xc3\xa9visions et au budget.
  • Un gestionnaire, un leader, un motivateur et un mentor hors pair.
  • Vous avez le souci du d\xc3\xa9tail et vous avez l\'esprit d\'\xc3\xa9quipe.
  • Excellentes comp\xc3\xa9tences en mati\xc3\xa8re de relations avec les clients.
  • Excellentes aptitudes \xc3\xa0 la communication, tant \xc3\xa0 l\'oral qu\'\xc3\xa0 l\'\xc3\xa9crit, en anglais et/ou en fran\xc3\xa7ais.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • 3+ years of related food service management experience
  • MAPAQ (manager) and/or ServeSafe and/or FoodSafe certified.
  • The ability to drive revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • The skills to control food, labour costs and manage results against forecast & budget.
  • A strong manager, leader, motivator and mentor.
  • A detail-oriented individual and a strong team player.
  • Outstanding client relationship skills.
  • Superior communication skills in both verbal and written English and/or French.
  • Able to effectively handle the concerns of employees, customers, and clients with tact while adhering to confidentiality policies.
  • Able to effectively use a computer and all related software, including POS equipment.
