  • Coordonner le travail avec d\'autres disciplines d\'ing\xc3\xa9nierie lorsque cela est n\xc3\xa9cessaire pour la continuit\xc3\xa9 du projet.
  • Surveiller/rapporter la port\xc3\xa9e, y compris la g\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9ration proactive d\'avis de changement de port\xc3\xa9e et de formulaires d\'avis de retard.
  • Surveiller / rapporter les \xc3\xa9ch\xc3\xa9ances et les co\xc3\xbbts.

  • Provide Project Management services for the company on client projects. This includes the successful execution of the project within scope, designated authority, and responsibility, for the duration of the contract.
  • Develop a written project plan establishing the project \xe2\x80\x9ccharter\xe2\x80\x9d definition and scope of work, cost and schedule parameters
  • Manage the project in accordance with AFRY Canada Inc. Project Management Procedures and the contractual agreement with the client.
  • Ensure compliance with scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
  • Serve as client liaison, including initiating and participating in meetings and conferences, having the authority to speak for AFRY Canada Inc.
  • Supervise personnel assigned to the project team. Direct supervision may include department project engineers, other engineering consultants, home office and/or resident construction management, and project support service personnel including procurement, project control, estimating, scheduling and administration.
  • Continuously review the status with all personnel assigned to the project team, keeping the client and AFRY management informed of developments that may affect scope, schedule, budget, quality, financial performance, and client relations. This includes Information Needs and Action / Item Lists management and review.
  • Participate in negotiation of contract changes with the client.
  • Ensure proper documentation of meetings, agreements and conversations which may affect contract commitments.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and marketing material and sales technical presentations.
  • Prepare a Project Procedures Manual, Design Criteria Document, and/or Field Procedure Manual if appropriate, and other project controls to encompass all phases of the work.
  • Assist Department Managers and Client Relations staff with client contracts, presentations and qualification material.
  • Coordinate the receipt of all information coming into the office on a project and disseminate it to the design team and others as appropriate.
  • Coordinate the work with other engineering disciplines where required for project continuity.
  • Monitor / report scope, including the proactive generation of Scope Change Notices and Notice of Delay Forms
  • Monitor / report schedule and costs.
  • Knowledge of risk management.
  • Monitor / report budget.
  • Prepare project monthly reports.
  • Coordinate preparation of earned value reports.
  • Coordinate preparation of resource loading plan by individual.
Relationships:

On a project specific basis, this position will report to the Director of Projects or a designated Corporate Project Sponsor from the office. Working relationships will exist with all areas of the firm. The position may report to more than one Supervising Director at any given time.

Qualifications

  • Exp\xc3\xa9rience directe de projet dans le domaine de la p\xc3\xa2te, du papier, du carton, du tissu et/ou de la production d\'\xc3\xa9nergie de pr\xc3\xa9f\xc3\xa9rence. (Une sp\xc3\xa9cialisation suppl\xc3\xa9mentaire dans les machines \xc3\xa0 papier est un atout). Les industries lourdes connexes pr\xc3\xa9sentent toujours un int\xc3\xa9r\xc3\xaat : Chimie, mines et m\xc3\xa9taux.
  • Inscription en r\xc3\xa8gle \xc3\xa0 titre d\'ing\xc3\xa9nieur.
  • Solides comp\xc3\xa9tences en communication \xc3\xa9crite et orale, avec la capacit\xc3\xa9 de faire des pr\xc3\xa9sentations efficaces aux clients et aux groupes techniques.

Qualifications
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge and a working background of project management principles.
  • Minimum Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 12 years engineering experience with a minimum of 10 years managing projects.
  • Familiarity with project accounting, estimating, and scheduling procedures and systems is preferred.
  • Direct project experience in the field of Pulp, Paper, Board, Tissue and / or Power Generation preferred. (Additional specialization in Paper Machines is an asset). Related heavy industries still of interest: Chemical, Mining and Metals.
  • Professional registration as an engineer in good standing.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to make effective presentations to clients and technical groups.
  • Strong computer-based skills in relevant software programs, such as Word, Excel, Access, Adobe, Outlook, Windows, MS Teams (or similar).
Relationships:

Take-charge individual with the ability to handle multiple projects, working well under pressure, both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Should be hardworking, possess demonstrated analytical skills, and be available to travel as required to fit project needs.
