and work out of our

Toronto

office.

Responsibilities:



Oversee daily operations of the Geotechnical laboratory, including scheduling, workflow, and staff supervision; Completion of soil and aggregate laboratory testing, including, but not limited to, sieve and hydrometer analyses, Proctor testing, and Atterberg limit determinations; Review and approve test results and reports before submission to clients or project teams; Manage and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with expected standards (e.g., MTO, ASTM, CCIL, etc.); Summarize and analyze findings from lab testing for written reports; Maintain inventory of materials and supplies, and coordinate procurement as needed; Perform occasional construction site reconnaissance/inspections, as required; Implement and monitor health and safety procedures within the lab environment; Supervise and train laboratory technicians and junior staff; Other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:



Diploma or degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Environmental Engineering is preferred; Working towards C.Tech. or C.E.T. designation is considered an asset; Minimum 5 years of experience in a geotechnical laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role; CCIL - Category "0" Concrete Technician is considered an asset; CCIL - Category "C' Aggregate technician is considered an asset; Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Strong technical writing skills; Strong skills in MS Office software, including Word and Excel; Experience with AutoCAD is considered an asset; Exceptional problem solving skills; Strong attention to detail; Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle; Successful Criminal Records Check which has been completed within 6 months of start date.
