Geotechnical Engineering Technician

This role will be based in

Vaughan, ON.

Your role within the team:

Plan, coordinate and execute ground investigations for transportation, infrastructure and mining projects. Perform subgrade inspections and site supervision of earthworks construction. Install and monitor geotechnical instrumentation. Collaborate with teams to further technological and digital advancement. Work on large projects with other groups such and Geomatics, Environment, and Materials Testing cross training as required to achieve common goal. Adhere to rules and procedures that ensure the health and safety of employees and the environment as well as the prevention of workplace incidents. Be proactive in improving HSE policies and procedures to mitigate hazards related to your work.

The ideal candidate:

Civil Engineering Technology, Geological Engineering Technology or similar diploma or degree and 5+ years of related experience. Ability to work and travel throughout Ontario with the potential for out-of-province assignments. Positive attitude and uncompromising commitment to health and safety. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail. Valid Ontario class G driver's license is a requirement. Self-motivated and a high level of energy.
