These services are provided to the deep foundation and tunneling industries across Canada. SSG's engineers have extensive experience providing driven pile and caisson inspection and testing services, monitoring programs for vibration and movement of structures, earth fill, and tunnels/shafts at sites across Canada.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Geotechnical Engineer or Technician to join our team. As a Geotechnical Engineering Field Staff, you will play a vital role in supporting our projects by applying your technical expertise and assisting in project planning and implementation. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about construction and wants to contribute to the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Design and Planning: Collaborate with other engineers and other team members to develop project plans, designs, and specifications for various civil engineering projects.
Quality Control: Monitor construction activities and ensure that work is performed according to established standards and specifications.
Materials Testing: Conduct tests on construction materials to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Cost Estimation: Assist in cost estimation and budgeting for projects, including materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Assist in obtaining necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, reports, and progress updates.
Safety: Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Must hold a valid G-class driver's licence
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in civil engineering or related roles.

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
