Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineering technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in geotechnical engineering principles and practices, with experience in various software applications and project management. This role involves analyzing soil and rock properties, conducting site investigations, and providing engineering solutions for construction projects. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Duties

Conduct geotechnical investigations and assessments to evaluate soil and rock properties. Analyze data from field tests, laboratory tests, and site investigations to inform design decisions. Prepare detailed reports, including recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and earth retention systems. Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and construction teams to develop project schematics and designs. Oversee construction inspection activities to ensure compliance with geotechnical specifications. Provide construction estimating services related to geotechnical aspects of projects. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively while maintaining communication with stakeholders.

Skills

Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies. Ability to draft schematics using CAD tools effectively. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong mathematical skills for data analysis and problem-solving.
